Healthcare content? Manuscript for publication? Conference presentation? Academic content?

My depth of understanding of health-related content sets me apart. And yes, I know how to properly use semicolons and en dashes, as well as refine your content for clarity, your target audience, and plain language principles.

About Me

I am Beth Hutchason, a nurse practitioner and medical/academic editor. I left bedside care in 2021 to pursue a career in the world of words. As an informal editor during my clinical career, a lifelong reader, and the daughter of two librarians, it seemed apropos. I obtained an editing certificate from the University of Washington and am now successfully editing nursing, medical, pharmaceutical, and general academic content. I live in Poulsbo, Washington, with my husband, two spoiled dogs, and tens of thousands of bees.

Here is my résumé (PDF).
